Panel Discussions on the contribution of tourism for the conservation and enhancement of World Heritage Sites in India for local development, and debate on the draft policy recommendations in a 2-hour webinar during which 10-15 sites of different typologies (monumental, urban, cultural landscape, mixed and natural sites) will be discussed by stakeholders involved in tourism development around these sites. This All-India event will be preceded by a 2-hour Zoom event in Hindi on the Draft Tourism Development Plan of Jaipur City currently under public consultation process. A summary of this will be presented to the webinar on WH Sites in India. These two events will be followed by 1-hour projection of videos on WH Sites in India with discussions. The importance of intangible heritage and the creative cultural industries related to heritage tourism will be given particular attention.
