OWH announces the launch of an experimental discussion forum on the state of conservation of World Heritage sites on the occasion of the 44th World Heritage Committee session (July 16-31, 2021).

To open up World Heritage to Civil Society and create a dialogue for awareness, OWH is launching an online discussion forum. A beta edition of the online forum is open for the 44th session of the World Heritage Committee, which takes place July 16-31, 2021.  On this platform you will find information on the state of conservation of World Heritage sites.

Diverse voices are essential to co-learn, share and innovate on solutions to these natural and cultural heritage site challenges. This first experimental Forum will serve as a learning platform to develop, in the coming year, new focused discussion groups on World Heritage sites and to continue to follow-up the work of the World Heritage Committee.

Register to participate online and review the rules or participate through Instagram! Using this multilingual platform and social media during the 44th Session will improve community awareness, increase credibility, and provide for broader communication about the issues on the World Heritage Committee agenda.

Please find more information on the Extended 44th session of the (online) World Heritage Committee in Fuzhou (China) on the official website of the World heritage Center.
